field trips for 2013 announced
- Southwestern USA (California, Utah, Nevada, Arizona): global change and land use
- Russia (Tomsk, Altai Mountains, Nowosibirsk): geomorphology
- Berlin & Brandenburg: city development, gentrification, migration
- Austria/Switzerland (Vienna, Graz, Hohe Tauern, Zürich, Bern): city and regional development, economic issues
By destination of course Russia and USA are the most spectacular, but by topic I’m not that interested in them and they are way too expensive. I’ll probably go for the trip AT/CH because it sounds quite varied, it’s cheaper, it’s leaded by a cool prof and I haven’t really been to the Alps yet either.
If you’re more interested in the field trips from the Department of Geography in Bonn, here’s a link (PDF, german).
