When my voice is damaged or not existant any more, it’s mostly a sign that the concert last nite was really awesome. Today it’s a sign that I should’t go to concerts when I have already been sick for a week.
Seriously, I was disappointed by yesterday’s Jupiter Jones show at Gloria Theater. They played an album-show for their second one and therefor I expected some back-to-the-roots-action, but I was probably too naive. I would call a stage in the middle of the room a “pit-destroyer”. And it worked.
The show wasn’t that bad though, I just had the wrong expactations.

Enter Shikari @ Live music hall, Cologne
were amazing, their set was almost one and a half hour with focus on their new album A flash flood of colour.
So of course I missed some of the older songs (especially Antwerpen, Anything can happen, Solidarity), but they played some of my very favourite ones like Mothership and the intro of their first album with Enter Shikari (as 1st last song). I think many people wondered that the real last song was Sssnakepit and not Sorry, you’re not a winner - yes, they did’t play their “hit”, so no claps… but the set was incredible though and I somehow appreciate their courage not to play it because seriously: you can hear this song everywhere over and over…
And another thing: their lightshow was freaking out, that really was a flash flood of colours.
